Flagpole Project

Exhibitions
06/10/2022 - 07/30/2023
Ziv Gallery, SP, United States

A community exhibit supported by a P.S. You Are Here Grant
Exhibition Dates: June 10, 2022-July 30, 2023
Location: Art Students League of Denver, 200 Grant St.

The Art Students League of Denver (ASLD) invites you to get territorial with us by joining a creative conversation on the history of flags, their use, and the controversy that can sometimes surround them.  Explore the history of Denver’s soil and pay homage to the lived experiences beneath its rapidly changing landscape. This is a call to art and a call to action to participate in our first exhibit dedicated to the art of flag making and honoring the places, spaces, and even memories that once existed or currently exist on these lands: Stores & businesses, historical events, neighborhoods, native communities as well as any locales that artists deem worthy of commemorating through the art of a flag.

This exhibit is curated by Executive Director Rachel Basye & Community Engagement Manager Holly-Kai Hurd

Participating artists:

Nathan Beck

Aisha Brown
